The uncouplings are what No Wasted Geometry chiefly does during the shift from an industrial to an AI ecology. Because the transition is not a clean switch but a long mixed period in which the old distribution mechanism weakens before any replacement is legitimate, the framework functions first as a transition architecture — and its work is to separate, gradually, the things industrial society had fused together:
standing from employment · basic resource access from labor-market success · status from occupational rank · contribution from wages · education from job preparation · ownership from sovereignty · capability from jurisdiction · AI assistance from AI authority · productivity from ecological health
Each pair was bundled because, under labor scarcity, work really did carry all of it at once. As labor stops being the basis of participation, keeping them bundled becomes the source of the danger — status panic, resentment, deprivation amid abundance.
