Charismatic capture is the central distortion the aliveness function exists to catch: a field stops generating its own vitality and outsources it to a single charismatic source — a celebrity, guru, founder, political savior, influencer, patriarch — which reliably ends in dependency and power concentration, because the source of vitality gets confused with the source of authority. Human beings run the conversion predictably: vitality → attention → admiration → authority.
The model resists it at the root, with what may be a constitutional rule:
Being able to animate the field does not give you jurisdiction over the field.
Charisma creates no jurisdiction unless additional standing independently justifies the authority — the functional-standing framework doing its work here, since the ability to animate is a real and valuable form of vitality but not one of the standings that confers decision power.
